The Multifamily Portfolio Operations Partner serves as a strategic partner to Community Managers, sharing ownership of financial and administrative functions across an assigned portfolio of affordable housing communities. This role supports month-end processes, delinquency management, lease administration, affordable housing compliance, and operational reporting to enhance property performance and ensure regulatory compliance

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Partner with Community Managers to support the financial and operational performance of an assigned portfolio of affordable housing communities.
• Assist with month-end close activities, financial reporting, reconciliations, accruals, and variance review.
• Monitor community financial performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and results.
• Support budget management and ensure timely completion of financial deadlines and reporting requirements.
• Review and manage delinquency reporting, collection efforts, payment plans, and resident account follow-up.
• Partner with site teams to reduce outstanding balances and maintain compliance with company collection policies.
• Review leases, resident files, and supporting documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Support lease administration activities, including renewals, audits, move-in documentation, and file management.
• Assist with affordable housing compliance processes, including resident certifications, recertifications, income calculations, and program documentation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable affordable housing programs, regulatory requirements, company policies, and operational standards.
• Serve as a centralized operational resource and extension of the Community Manager for designated properties.
• Collaborate with Operations, Compliance, Accounting, and Community Management teams to support portfolio performance.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices to drive consistency across the portfolio.
• Support special projects and other operational initiatives as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of affordable housing property management experience in a Community Manager, Assistant Community Manager, Compliance Specialist, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of affordable housing programs, compliance regulations, certifications, recertifications, and income calculations (LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, etc.).
• Affordable housing certification (HCCP, C3P, TCS, COS, or equivalent).
• Experience supporting financials, month-end close, delinquency management, leasing operations, and reporting across multiple properties.
• Proficiency in Yardi, Entrata, RealPage, or similar property management software, along with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and required automobile insurance
