SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

This role supports the Eyewear Quality Control Department by assisting with jeweling, buffing, frame preparation, quality inspections, and other production-related tasks as needed. This position plays an important role in maintaining an efficient workflow while ensuring that eyewear frames and components meet established quality standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Assist with verifying and receiving base frames for jewelling.
• Perform physical inventory checks and ensure the physical quantities and system records match.
• Assist with the physical quality control inspection of raw frames and components.
• Assemble and disassemble raw and jeweled frames.
• Buff and polish plastic frames and components according to CH quality standards.
• Assist with various tasks to maintain an efficient and organized workflow.
• Identify and report quality issues, defects, or inconsistencies
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Perform additional duties and production support tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in eyewear manufacturing, quality control, buffing/polishing, jewelry, or a similar production environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify small defects such as scratches, pits, dots, marks, uneven surfaces, and other cosmetic imperfections.
• Ability to follow work instructions, specifications, and quality standards.
• Experience inspecting eyewear frames and components for quality and consistency.
• Experience setting up and operating buffing and polishing equipment.
• Knowledge of buffing wheels, abrasives, compounds, tools, fixtures, and clamps.
• Ability to adjust machine settings, including speed and pressure, based on the material and desired finish.
• Ability to identify and correct common polishing defects such as scratches, swirl marks, uneven polishing, and dull areas.
• Ability to safely handle small parts and perform repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
• Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Ability to communicate quality issues clearly and work with the team to resolve them.

The pay range for this role is:

20 - 21 USD per hour (Hollywood, CA)
