Mammography Technologist

Role: Mammography Technologist responsible for performing high-quality breast imaging in accordance with regulatory standards. Performs routine to complex mammograms, including screening, diagnostic, and assisting with breast procedures. Maintains and monitors equipment quality control per MQSA and state requirements, ensuring proper documentation. Communicates effectively with patients, providing comfort and education about procedures. Assists physicians with specialized procedures such as biopsies and galactograms, handling medications and specimens. Supervises and trains radiology students, fostering a positive and educational environment. Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation standards, staying updated on industry trends. Participates in quality improvement initiatives, departmental meetings, and continuing education to enhance skills and service quality. Qualifications & Skills Graduation from an accredited Radiology and/or Mammography program. Registration with ARRT in Radiography; ARRT Advanced Certification in Mammography preferred. Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist licensure and current CPR certification. Strong time management, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Advanced computer skills and routine to complex positioning abilities. Patient-centered approach and ability to work effectively in a team environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
