Advisory Board Member

The client is seeking an Advisory Board Member to provide strategic guidance and governance support. The role involves attending board meetings held monthly on the third Tuesday for approximately one hour, as well as participating in at least one committee that typically meets every two months for about one hour. Board members are also expected to attend various special events throughout the year. Key responsibilities include actively participating in an overall strategic planning process and helping implement and monitor the plan’s goals. The role also includes supporting fundraising efforts to ensure adequate ongoing financial donations so the organization can fulfill its mission, as well as enhancing the organization’s public standing by clearly communicating its mission, accomplishments, and goals to the community. The Advisory Board Member will help build and sustain an effective board by articulating candidate prerequisites, orienting new members, and periodically evaluating board performance comprehensively. Additionally, the board provides moral and professional support to the Executive Director and staff to further the organization’s goals.
