Accountant Trainee – Telework Hybrid Department: Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Location: Sacramento, California (Hybrid telework) Salary: $4,442.00 – $5,296.00 per Month (minimum salary for new‑to‑state candidates) Final Filing Date: 7/21/2026 Responsibilities Establish, maintain, and reconcile accounts receivable activities for the Department of Motor Vehicles Collaborate with the Billing and Accounts Receivable Reconciliation Unit to ensure accurate financial records Prepare routine accounts receivable reports and assist with audit and compliance activities Minimum Requirements Eligible for appointment under California civil service rules Authorized to work in the United States Background investigation clearance required prior to hire New‑to‑state candidates hired at minimum classification salary or alternate range minimum Working Conditions Part‑time telework available; hybrid telework arrangement subject to change. Employees may need to report to the office as necessary. Work Shift: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday‑Friday.
