Position Overview
Join our team as a Care Coordinator who contributes to the success of a high-performing organization committed to delivering superior care and exceptional service. Performs a range of administrative and customer service tasks, providing valuable support to the hospital. Within the veterinary field, this position aligns closely with roles often titled Veterinary Receptionist, Customer Service Representative, or Client Care Specialist.
Rancho Village Veterinary Hospital in La Mesa California, is looking for an experienced Care Coordinator with great service skills to join our amazing hospital. Established in 1981, as a one veterinarian practice, we have expanded to include 3 full time veterinarians on our team. We have been treating the East San Diego County's pets for over 40 years. What sets Rancho Village apart is their extended availability, offering full hours of operation on weekdays in addition to their comprehensive weekday services, ensuring that pets get the care they need when they need it most.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides excellent customer service in-person, over the phone, and during high-stress situations.
- Manages lobby flow, addresses concerns, calms distressed owners, and schedules appointments.
- Handles basic medical emergencies for pets and owners, ensuring safety and well-being.
- Assists with medication pickups, inquiries, and provides information about services and products.
- Inputs and manages data in practice management software, including billing and accounts.
- Assists with retail sales, weighing pets, processing faxes, and maintaining records.
- Reconciles cash drawer and performs end-of-day duties for accurate financial transactions.
Qualifications (Required)
- 1-2 years experience as a receptionist / CSR within a veterinary setting
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education, and/or experience.
- Knowledge of clerical procedures such as record keeping and organizational skills.
- Cash handling
- Must be flexible with scheduling and able to work some weekends and holiday.
- Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation and/or extended periods of time standing and/or walking.
- Some moderately physically demanding work, involving lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds.
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position.

Schedule
- 4 shifts during the week with 1 shift on the weekend (either Saturday or Sunday).
- Must have open availability for either Saturday or Sunday

Pay Range
$20—$20 USD
