Job Title Leasing Consultant, Multifamily (Floating) ( Overview As a Leasing Consultant, you will play an important role with the onsite management team. You build rapport with prospects and residents, attain leasing goals such as occupancy and rent growth, and create a positive and lasting influence on visitors. Responsibilities Generate interest in the community by touring the property with prospects and answering questions about amenities, the local community, and the grounds. Drive leasing success by highlighting the quality and lifestyle of the apartment community. Assist prospects in qualifying for apartments by collecting information and initiating background checks. Ensure apartments are prepared for move‑in. Deliver unmatched service to residents to exceed expectations and maintain resident retention. Use attention to detail, planning, and organizing skills to perform required office activities and coordinate paperwork related to apartment rentals. Other duties as assigned. Competencies Effective communication and customer service skills. Basic computer skills in a Windows environment. Assist leasing activities of the leasing staff. Be courteous, professional, well organized, and able to meet deadlines. Follow all company policies and procedures. Be a team player. Education High School Diploma, GED, Trade, Technical, or Vocational school. Experience 1+ years of related experience. Job Environment This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Regular travel between properties in varying weather conditions is required. Physical Demands Stand and walk for extended periods; ascend and descend staircases, ladders, or step stools; travel outside between buildings in varying weather conditions. Sit or stand in a stationary position for 85% of the time. Operate office machinery; travel up to 5% of the time.
