Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week contract assignment
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours
• Minimum 2+ years medical surgical experience required
• Recent hospital experience and trauma level II experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License and BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Work with Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, and Alaris pumps
• Provide post-surgical care for adults and geriatric patients
• Nurse to patient ratio: day/evening 1:4 or 5, nights 1:5-7
• Fast-paced environment averaging 10-15 admissions per day
• Must demonstrate ability to multitask and prioritize patient care based on acuity
• Work as part of a collaborative team
• Must be located outside 50-mile radius of facility
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred
• Mask required at all times during flu season if declining flu and COVID vaccination

Facility:

This healthcare facility operates a 40-bed post-surgical care unit providing comprehensive care for pre and post-surgical patients. The unit maintains a 90-95% occupancy rate during the week with an average length of stay of 2-3 days. The facility features modern equipment and technology including Epic electronic medical records system and maintains high standards for patient care and safety protocols.
