Medical Front Desk Receptionist

Job Description Job Description Our busy radiology practice is looking for a professional, patient-oriented Front Desk Coordinator to join our team. As the first point of contact, you aren't just checking people in; you are the face of our patient experience and the "engine room" of our daily operations. We are specifically looking for a candidate who understands the complexities of New Jersey No-Fault (PIP) insurance and can provide seamless communication for our Spanish-speaking patient population. Key Responsibilities Patient Intake: Greet patients, manage digital check-ins, and ensure all demographic and insurance information is captured accurately. No-Fault/PIP Navigation: Verify No-Fault coverage, obtain necessary authorizations, and ensure all NJ-specific billing requirements are met. Bilingual Communication: Assist Spanish-speaking patients with intake forms, medical history, and procedural instructions. Scheduling: Coordinate complex imaging appointments (MRI, X-ray) while managing high call volumes. Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and office protocols. What We’re Looking For Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a medical office setting (Radiology experience is a major plus). Language: Fluency in Spanish and English is required. Specialized Knowledge: Proficiency in NJ No-Fault (PIP) practices , including an understanding of Decision Point Review (DPRP) and Pre-Certification. Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with EMR/RIS systems and general office software. The "Vibe": A calm demeanor under pressure and a genuine desire to help patients feel at ease.
