Role Description The Warehouse & Logistics Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Madison Area, responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations and logistics activities. This role manages the receipt, sorting, storage, and distribution of donated goods, ensuring efficient material flow and safe handling practices. The manager coordinates inventory levels, schedules shipments, and optimizes transportation and routing to support retail locations and program needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising warehouse staff, monitoring performance and safety compliance, maintaining accurate inventory records, and resolving operational issues. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams and external partners, improving processes to enhance service quality, and supporting customer service standards for donors, stores, and program stakeholders. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Warehouse Management skills, including organizing workflows, supervising staff, and enforcing safety and compliance standards. Candidates should possess Operations Management and Inventory Management skills, with the ability to plan, track, and optimize the movement and storage of goods. Candidates should possess Supply Chain Management skills, including coordination of transportation, routing, and scheduling to support multiple locations. Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to maintain positive relationships with donors, store teams, and program partners. Relevant experience in warehouse, logistics, or distribution center management, ideally in retail or nonprofit environments. Ability to use inventory, warehouse, and logistics software; proficiency with basic office applications and data reporting. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to train and motivate diverse teams. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in logistics, operations, or supply chain are beneficial.
