What Your Role Entails

• Performing extensive patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and creating personalized care strategies
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions, either collaboratively or independently (according to your credentials)
• Educating patients and families on preventive care, wellness, and chronic disease management
• Prescribing medications and therapies within your scope of practice
• Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic healthcare management
• Working closely with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive, coordinated care
• Accurately and thoroughly documenting patient information in electronic medical records (EMR)

Qualifications You Must Meet

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Certifications Required

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of North Carolina
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
