Specialty Team Supervisor - PAT & OR Scheduling

Job Title

Under general supervision of directors and in collaboration with all PAT managers; plans; organizes; directs and controls all activities involved in the effective; efficient; and economical utilization of material resources and personnel of the delegated specialty service; ensuring patient service is continuous and high quality. Responsible for orientation; training; and development of specialty service personnel. Responsible for assisting streamline PAT process across all facilities. Relates effectively with anesthesia and perianesthesia team members for continuity of care; maintains satisfactory relations with other departments and nursing units and participates in all phases of education; maintenance of records; and upgrading policies; procedures and skills of personnel. Registered Nurses have a professional obligation to participate in committee activities; surveys; and improvement initiatives. In addition; Registered Nurses must uphold the standards of the Texas Nurse Practice Act.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education:

• Bachelor's Degree

Minimum Work Experience:

• 2 years of Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) nursing experience

Required Licenses/Certifications:

• Registered Nurse
• Certified Ambulatory Perianesthesia Nurse (CAPA) certified within 12 months of hire in this position
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
