About the Role
The Company is in search of an Executive Director for Global Finance to spearhead the establishment and leadership of the global finance capability, particularly in the context of international expansion. The successful candidate will be responsible for owning the finance strategy, operating model, and governance framework for new market entry, as well as leading the interim financial operations. This role demands a hands-on, globally minded finance leader who can seamlessly transition between strategic planning and execution. Key responsibilities include leading the global finance strategy for new market entry, partnering with finance leadership to set and execute international finance operations strategy, and leading strategic change initiatives. The role also involves representing global finance in critical negotiations, leading international controllership, and maintaining strong business partnerships to ensure the company's financial processes are compliant, efficient, and sustainable. Applicants must have a minimum of 15 years' progressive finance leadership experience, with a strong preference for those with a background in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry. A CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification is required, along with experience in a public company with a SOX-controlled environment. The ideal candidate will be a strategic, hands-on leader with a proven track record of influencing executive-level stakeholders and managing critical external relationships. Strong project and program management skills, as well as the ability to balance global consistency with local market requirements, are essential. The role calls for a practical controls leader who can ensure that the company's financial processes are robust without being over-engineered, and who is adept at identifying and addressing financial risks and opportunities in a global business context.
