Job Description:

Schedule: 3x12 variable shifts — most likely straight nights; if covering both, schedule flips every 4 weeks.

Assignment Details:

Assignment length: 13 weeks

Guaranteed hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks

Requirements:

- Minimum 2 years of RN experience

- Charge RN experience preferred or willing to train

- Current RN license

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Provide comprehensive nursing care in labor and delivery, including induction, augmentation, and VBAC management.

- Monitor and assess fetal health using external and internal methods, including IUPC use.

- Assist in cesarean sections and manage recovery in the PACU.

- Conduct newborn assessments and support mother-baby couplet care.

- Manage complications such as postpartum hemorrhage and pre-eclampsia/eclampsia, including administration of magnesium sulfate therapy.

- Support breastfeeding and discharge teaching for new mothers.

Compliance / Notes:

- Must have Alaska RN license for auto offer; pending license accepted for submission.

- Reference checks are required.

- Must include all requested time off at submission; approvals handled individually.

- Travelers limited to a maximum of 1 calendar year on assignment at this facility; 6-month break required before returning.

- Pre-start modules average ~16 hours (self-reported); >20 hours requires approval.
