Human Resources Staffing Coordinator

Job Description

SUMMARY

Join a fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment in a people-focused role that blends recruiting, employee support, workforce planning, and operational collaboration. This is a highly visible, hands-on position, with approximately 50–60% of the workday spent on the warehouse floor connecting with team members and leaders. You will help strengthen staffing processes while identifying practical ways to improve efficiency through data and technology.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build strong working relationships with warehouse associates, supervisors, and management while maintaining an accessible HR presence on the floor.
\n
• Coordinate high-volume hourly recruiting and staffing activities, partnering closely with external staffing agencies.
\n
• Keep workforce records and rosters current, including new hires, temporary staff, transfers, and employee departures.
\n
• Track staffing coverage, anticipate hiring needs, and raise potential workforce gaps before they affect operations.
\n
• Assist with employee onboarding and provide guidance on routine HR-related questions.
\n
• Participate in staffing and operations discussions, track action items, and ensure timely follow-through.
\n
• Prepare, review, and enhance workforce reports to support staffing decisions and operational planning.
\n
• Identify opportunities to streamline administrative tasks using Excel, digital tools, reporting, and automation.
\n

QUALIFICATIONS

\n
• Background in staffing, recruiting, HR coordination, or workforce administration.
\n
• Comfort working directly with employees in an active warehouse setting for a substantial portion of each day.
\n
• Strong Excel proficiency, technical aptitude, and confidence working with workforce data and reports.
\n
• Excellent organization, interpersonal communication, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.
\n
• Ability to respond quickly to changing priorities while managing multiple ongoing activities.
\n
• Experience supporting hourly hiring in warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution operations is preferred.
\n
• Previous coordination with temporary staffing partners is a plus.
\n
• Curiosity and initiative to suggest process improvements and more efficient ways of working.
