Job Title: Assembler Job Description

This role focuses on building high-quality hose assemblies in a clean industrial shop environment. You will cut plastic hosing to specified lengths, attach and crimp fittings using hand and power tools, and follow detailed drawings and work instructions to ensure each hose meets quality standards.

• Build hose assemblies according to drawings, blueprints, and written work instructions.
• Cut plastic hosing to precise lengths using a tape measure and chop saw.
• Attach fittings to hose ends and securely crimp fittings onto hoses using crimping tools and other appropriate equipment.
• Perform quality checks on assembled hoses to ensure they meet specifications and standards.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and manufacturing machinery safely and efficiently.
• Follow established manufacturing processes and industrial production procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area within the shop.
• Work independently once trained, while meeting production goals and deadlines.
• Communicate any issues with materials, equipment, or product quality to the appropriate team members.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and use proper protective practices in an industrial environment.

• Mechanical inclination and interest in working with tools and machinery.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Basic machine operation skills within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Proficient use of a tape measure for accurate measurement and cutting.
• Attention to detail and commitment to performing thorough quality checks.
• Capability to work independently after training while maintaining productivity.
• Reliability and consistency in following manufacturing and safety procedures.

• Hands-on work experience in production, manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, or construction is preferred but not required.
• Background in industrial manufacturing environments is a plus.
• Experience with assembly work or mechanical tasks is beneficial.
• Comfort working in a shop setting with machinery that produces plastic tubing.
• Willingness to learn new tools, machines, and processes with provided training.

You will join a casual, supportive shop environment where you can work independently once trained and build practical skills with tools and machinery. The schedule offers a consistent first-shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., supporting work-life balance. The role is based in a smaller, clean industrial shop that manufactures plastic tubes and hose assemblies. Some areas can be noisy due to operating machinery, and you will regularly work around equipment used for cutting, crimping, and assembling hoses. The environment is industrial yet well-maintained, with a casual shop atmosphere and practical attire appropriate for hands-on manufacturing work. You will typically work first shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., using hand tools, power tools, and machines designed for plastic tube and hose production.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, OR.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Portland,OR.
