They play an important role in ensuring productive and efficient management of the order cycle. The Logistics Coordinator overall goal is to manage the entire process, enhancing business growth, ensuring sustainability, and increasing customer satisfaction.Essential Duties/ResponsibilitiesPrepares goods for shipment, inspects for proper packaging and documentation ensuring shipments will arrive on time and intact without damageCorrectly chooses routing method and service level for shipments utilizing company’s existing common carriers, truck load carriers, freight forwarders, air freight & parcel providers depending on product, packaging and delivery deadlines to meet customer needsEnters shipments in FedEx Shipmanager and UPS Wordship software programsParticipates and oversees cycle counting/reconciliation activitiesOperates forklift or uses hand-truck to move raw materials and finished goods on and off trucks and within the warehouseRuns daily reports, and file shipping and receiving records filed dailyFosters a culture that values family, innovation, collaboration and empowermentFollows all safety and workplace policiesCompetencies and SkillsExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsInventory maintenance experience a plusAbility to work well in a fast-paced environmentAbility to demonstrate and apply PD’s workplace valuesFlexibility to travel between multiple PD locationsDemonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environmentEducation/CertificationHigh School DiplomaPrefer 2 year technical/business degree or equivalentExperience2 years of experience in shipping and receivingExperience using FedEx Shipmanager, UPS Worldship, and Microsoft Office Products1 year experience on sit-down forkliftPhysical Requirements and Working ConditionsWalking, sitting, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs. may be required throughout the workday #J-18808-Ljbffr PD Instore
