Client Location: Houston TX, Flexible for Hybrid Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Tax Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a project management expert, and a trusted advisor to our clients and staff. Project Management Duties and Responsibilities Lead in the development and implementation of tax processing procedures Lead in the development and implementation of project management processes and tools Coordinate with IT administrator in applying technical and software needs as related to accounting/tax processes and project management Coordinate with Tax administrator regarding filing deadlines and project assignments Coordinate with Firm Administrator/Controller with staff and invoicing issues Direct/delegate projects to staff Review accounting and tax projects Supervise staff and seniors assigned to projects and manage time and project completion within budget Prepare invoices for clients as needed Assist with collections as needed Meet utilization and realization standards personally Monitor compliance with Firm quality control procedures Coordinate with partners regarding staff and Firm matters Advanced Production Duties and Responsibilities Provide accounting and tax research and documentation as needed Research and resolve IRS notices and examinations Complete special projects as required Perform all other related duties as assigned Technical Skills Advanced knowledge of tax laws Expert ability to apply tax knowledge to client problems Proficient in CS Professional Suite and Microsoft Office Suite Qualifications CPA License or EA License 7 or more years of related experience Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Accounting/Auditing, Research, and Finance Industries: Accounting and Financial Services Qualifications and responsibilities reflect the requirements to perform senior-level tax manager duties, coordinate with staff and leadership, and manage tax projects from planning to delivery. #J-18808-Ljbffr
