Technical Project Manager / Scrum MasterLocation: Alpharetta, GA (Hybrid 3 Days a Week Onsite) Duration: 12 Months Contract to Hire Payrate: $ 63 - 67 per hourAI Development Platform Technical Project Manager / Scrum MasterThe AI Development Platform provides firmwide GenAI capabilities to enable the firm's tech teams to develop and deploy GenAI solutions to meet desired business outcomes. This role is for a Technical Project Manager with a strong Scrum Master background, supporting a dynamic, fast changing team. The individual will focus on keeping the team unblocked from external dependencies, ensuring clear visibility into delivery status, risks, and issues for Product Owners, and guiding a pragmatic, gradual evolution toward mature and effective agile delivery. The role requires comfort operating in ambiguity, adapting approaches over time, and balancing structure with flexibility to enable consistent outcomes.Primary Responsibilities:Actively identify, manage, and resolve external dependencies and impediments across teams and stakeholders to ensure the squad remains focused and unblocked in its deliveryLeverage tools such as JIRA and Roadmunk to provide clear, transparent visibility into delivery status, risks, issues, and dependencies, enabling effective prioritization and decision making by Product OwnersEnsure deliverables, expected outcomes, roles, and responsibilities are clearly defined and communicated, while remaining adaptable as priorities and team structures evolveServe as a Scrum Master where appropriate, facilitating agile ceremonies and practices in a pragmatic way that supports delivery rather than imposing rigid processPartner closely with Product Owners and Tech Leads to incrementally improve planning discipline, backlog clarity, and delivery predictability over timeUse metrics and tooling to surface trends and risks, focusing on actionable insights that help the team improve flow and executionMaintain lightweight but effective project documentation and stakeholder reporting aligned to the pace and maturity of the teamFoster a collaborative, transparent team culture that encourages continuous improvement, learning, and shared ownership of outcomesSupport the team's gradual evolution toward mature, effective agile delivery, introducing structure and best practices incrementally as the team's context and readiness evolveRequired Skills:Demonstrated experience driving delivery in complex, fast changing environmentsStrong grounding in Scrum and agile principles, with the judgment to apply them flexiblyProven ability to manage dependencies, remove blockers, and improve delivery flowAbility to provide clear, concise communication of status, risks, and issues to Product OwnersDeep expertise in JIRA and delivery tracking toolsAbility to influence behavior and outcomes without formal authorityProven experience operating across siloed organizations, building alignment and cohesion to enable effective end to end delivery.Familiarity with GenAI, data, and compute infrastructure conceptsHands on experience acting as a Scrum Master or agile delivery leadDesired Skills:Experience supporting teams as they evolve toward agile maturity, rather than operating only in fully mature agile environmentsHands-on GenAI development experienceFinancial services or large scale transformation experienceQualifications:4-6 years working as a technical project managerRussell Tobin is a leading minority-owned professional and technical recruitment and staffing advisory organization.
