HR Operations & Compliance Specialist

The HR Operations & Compliance Specialist is responsible for supporting and improving human resources operations across employee relations, compliance, workforce administration, policy development, investigations, and operational process improvement. This role partners closely with leadership, recruiting, operations, client stakeholders, and field management to ensure consistent, compliant, and business-focused HR practices across a distributed workforce environment.

This position serves as a key resource for employee relations guidance, policy interpretation, workplace investigations, disciplinary action management, and operational HR process design while balancing compliance obligations, workforce needs, and co-employment risk considerations within a staffing and client-site environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage employee relations matters, workplace investigations, corrective actions, and policy interpretation

• Ensure compliance with employment laws, leave administration, and HR best practices

• Develop and improve HR policies, SOPs, workflows, and operational processes

• Partner with leadership, recruiting, operations, and client stakeholders to support workforce needs

• Maintain HR systems, reporting, documentation, and audit-ready records

• Support onboarding, offboarding, workforce deployment, and field employee communications

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of HR operations, employee relations, compliance, or workforce administration experience

• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR compliance practices

• Experience handling investigations, corrective actions, and sensitive employee matters

• Strong communication, organization, and process improvement skills

• Experience with HRIS, ATS, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office

Preferred:

• SHRM or HRCI certification

• Staffing, contractor, or field workforce experience

• Experience in regulated or safety-focused industries
