Area Contracting Manager- HVAC

Overview Area Contracting Manager – Controls and Building Automation team, Tempe, AZ. Responsible for leading the team, administering contracting fulfillment processes, and supporting the organization’s strategic objectives. Location & Schedule Monday to Thursday onsite at Trane’s Tempe facility. Fridays remote work is available to accommodate individual work requirements. Responsibilities Drive revenue and profitability and meet Annual Operating Plan priorities. Monitor the area’s project portfolio to ensure timely and successful delivery. Manage associate performance and align teams with operating plan goals. Collaborate with other business streams and functional leaders for cross‑departmental cohesion. Directly supervise controls fulfillment personnel and assign project resources. Develop detailed project plans and serve as the primary interface among customers, vendors, sub‑contractors and internal expertise. Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns and implementing corrective actions. Maintain high employee engagement through training, career development, and a dynamic culture. Review and validate contracts and estimates, performing risk analysis and developing risk plans. Confirm Trane’s ability to meet performance and financial requirements through data analysis before project acceptance. Lead as a local operations safety professional to establish and maintain a safety‑first work culture. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Business. 10+ years of experience in building automation/controls with at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity. Working knowledge of industrial and commercial HVAC systems and building automation technologies. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience with construction processes for building automation and mechanical/HVAC project installation. Compensation Annual base salary range: $117,673.33 – $189,800.00. Currency is USD.
