Research Data Specialist II - Hybrid Telework

This limited term position may be extended up to 24 months and has the possibility of becoming permanent.
Under general direction of the Research Data Supervisor lI (RD Sup II) in the Specialized Litigation Reporting Team, within the Research Evaluation and Data Insights Division, the Research Data Specialist lI (RDS lI) will serve as the specialist on specialized and complex projects in areas related to the Incompetent to Stand Trial (IST) patient population, data analytics and IST litigation, court reporting and data governance. The Specialized Litigation Reporting Team is responsible for the research, analytics and data management necessary to submit court status reports and respond to court data inquires; develop and maintain methodologies across reported metrics; and develop data driven solutions to complex questions and reporting challenges. RDS lI responsibilities include methodology development, development of standardized reporting tools, data examination and auditing, specialized research, conducting data inquiries and collaboration and coordination with internal and external partners. Incumbent will collaborate and communicate regularly with executive management, DSH facility staff, Sacramento based staff, DSH-Legal and external stakeholders
Independence of action and the ability to manage time and multiple priorities is required. This position will require a background check via Cal DOJ Live Scan to fulfill the responsibilities of the job. Use of technology, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, WebEx, Zoom and other virtual platforms is required.

- This position reports to the Allenby Building in Sacramento. A hybrid Telework schedule, consistent with the State of California's in-office requirement, may be considered with prior approval from management. The incumbent may also be required to travel throughout California as needed, with prior notice.
- Minimal travel (5%) may be required.
- DSH-Sacramento is located at an 11-floor high rise building.

DSH-Sacramento is in a modern, sustainable and innovative 11 story office building located at 1215 "O" Street, Sacramento, California. Some of the amenities of the new building include the following:

- Large, shared conference room on the first floor with a maximum capacity of 162 individuals
