Role Description The Outpatient Mental Health Therapist is a full-time, on-site role based in Omaha, NE. This role involves providing individual, family, and group therapy to clients with a range of mental health and co-occurring concerns, using evidence-informed and culturally responsive approaches. The therapist will conduct diagnostic assessments, develop and update treatment plans, and coordinate services to support client progress. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining accurate clinical documentation, participating in case consultations, collaborating with internal and external providers, and engaging in community-focused outreach or education as needed. The therapist will contribute to a team-based environment, support CHD’s holistic mission, and uphold ethical and professional practice standards. Qualifications Demonstrated skills in Treatment Planning and Case Management to coordinate holistic, client-centered care. Experience in Mental Health and Social Work practice, including assessment, intervention, and advocacy. Competence in Family Therapy and related family systems approaches to support individuals within their family and community context. Relevant licensure or eligibility (e.g., LMHP, LIMHP, LICSW, LCSW, LMFT, LPC) in Nebraska or ability to obtain licensure within a defined timeframe. Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related behavioral health field. Strong skills in culturally responsive care, trauma-informed practice, and working with diverse communities. Effective communication, documentation, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage a caseload and meet regulatory requirements.
