Position Overview

We are seeking a Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) with a focus on rehabilitation. The selected candidate will be required to float between various units as necessary and will be expected to work night shifts on a 3x12 hour schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a rehabilitation setting.
• Ensure adherence to established patient care protocols and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records using the Epic charting system.
• Follow isolation precautions and effectively manage emergency situations.

Schedule & Requirements

• Night shift: 3x12-hour rotations (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Weekend shifts required based on the facility's needs, with a minimum of every other weekend.
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).
• Candidate must possess a valid Compact RN license at the time of submission.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of med/surg nursing experience required.
• Prior charge nurse experience is highly preferred.
• Experience with the Epic charting system is mandatory.
• Demonstrated capabilities in managing CVA, spinal cord injuries, and traumatic brain injuries are essential.
• Travel nursing experience is required.

• Teaching Hospital with no parking fees.
• All units allow for various scrub colors.

Additional Information

Traveling nurses may be expected to float between adjacent facilities related to the primary contracted location. Refusal to float may affect job security and guaranteed hours.

Communication devices (e.g., cell phones, pagers) necessary for the role will be provided at no cost to the nurse.
