Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Telemetry. The role provides independent nursing care for cardiac and telemetry patients in a non-stepdown setting, including assessment, medication administration, treatment, documentation, patient education, and care coordination.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week; every other weekend required.
• Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA); Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment or a compact-state license.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree; one year of experience in a related nursing specialty.
• Additional Information: Provides care for cardiac and telemetry patients in a non-stepdown unit with an approximate nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1 to 6:1, depending on staffing. Responsibilities include assessing patients, developing and implementing care plans, administering medications and treatments, monitoring treatment effectiveness and side effects, documenting patient information and care provided, and educating patients, families, and caregivers. Participation in orientation, precepted onboarding, competency validation, and annual competency verification is required. Float rotation is not indicated, and no on-call responsibilities are required.
