Position SummaryThe Consumer Segment Strategic Finance Officer provides financial management leadership and strategic decision support to Consumer Segment and Line of Business leadership. Serving as a trusted financial advisor and business partner, this role provides insight to support short- and long-term business strategies, evaluates financial performance, and identifies opportunities to improve profitability and business outcomes. Responsibilities include financial analysis and decision support, planning and forecasting, incentive plan support, and financial reporting.Sub-Family DefinitionGeneral Finance is responsible for supporting the organization’s overall financial management, analysis, and planning activities to ensure accurate reporting, strong fiscal stewardship, and effective decision-making. Activities may include:Preparing and reviewing financial statementsPerforming variance and trend analysesSupporting budgeting and forecasting processesMaintaining financial controls and documentationPartnering with business units to interpret financial resultsMonitoring performance against targetsIdentifying areas for improvementEnsuring compliance with accounting standards, and internal policiesCareer Specialization DefinitionFinance Business Partners advise and support the business in areas related to future state financial performance. Activities may include:Finance consulting and coaching (e.g., interpreting financial results and measures in the context of business operations)Providing forward looking financial insight on market conditions, competitors, and alternative business scenariosImproving the quality of internal and external financial data to drive business decision making and performanceOther duties as assignedPosition AccountabilitiesProvides strategic financial leadership and decision support to Consumer Segment and Line of Business leadership, including performance evaluation, risk identification, and recommendations to optimize financial and business outcomes.Leads financial planning and forecasting activities, identifying risks and opportunities and providing insights that inform tactical and strategic decision-making.Analyzes financial results and underlying business drivers, developing recommendations related to profitability, productivity, efficiency, and overall business performance.Oversees business unit financial reporting and partners with Corporate Finance teams to support effective financial models, reporting, and decision-support capabilities.Serves as a trusted financial partner to senior business leaders and provides leadership and direction to the assigned finance team.Career Level DefinitionManages a department or small unit that includes multiple teams led by Managers and/or Team Leaders.
