Position Summary Stanford Athletics is seeking an Assistant Coach for Women’s Water Polo to assist the Head Women’s Water Polo coach with recruiting, coaching, and developing a championship‑caliber team. The role is onsite and fixed‑term and includes responsibilities such as coaching student‑athletes, recruiting, game management, video coordination, scouting, statistics and analytics, practice organization, player development, external relations, collaborating with department colleagues and faculty, camps, compliance, travel, and other administrative duties as assigned. Responsibilities Help plan and organize team training and practice sessions. Assist with recruiting student‑athletes to compete at Stanford and follow NCAA guidelines and university standards and policies. Understand and apply NCAA regulations to all aspects of the program and pass an annual exam on NCAA regulations. Carry out other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or her designee. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. Previous Division I or National Team playing or coaching experience OR demonstrated success in high‑level age‑group club coaching. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Ability to use technology for player development and statistical and video analysis. Demonstrated ability to take initiative and ownership of projects. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Cooperation and collegiality with the Athletic Department, Stanford Campus, and Water Polo communities.
