PATIENT DINING ASSOCIATE (DIETARY AIDE) (FULL TIME)

We are hiring full‑time Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide) positions at Ochsner Medical Center, Baton Rouge, LA. The role is posted exclusively for online applications. Job Summary Patient Dining Associates support the caregiving team by helping patients choose, prepare, and receive meals. They ensure meal accuracy, timely delivery, and adherence to nutritional and safety standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Help patients understand menu selections and collaborate with nursing to confirm nutritional suitability. Work with caregivers and the culinary team to adapt menus for allergies, sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, or religious preferences. Manage tray tickets and assemble meals accurately and on time; retrieve trays from patient rooms at assigned times. Comply with federal, state, JCAHO, HIPAA, and other regulatory standards. Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food and cleaning workstations. Adhere to facility infection control policies and procedures. Assist dietitians with patients on liquid diets, specific calorie counts, or who cannot eat by mouth. Communicate issues to appropriate personnel promptly. Complete required reports as outlined in Morrison Healthcare policies. Follow health and sanitation regulations and departmental sanitation procedures. Perform other duties assigned. Qualifications Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English. Basic computer and mathematical skills. Capability to lift or move up to 100 pounds and maneuver food delivery carts occasionally.
