Job Description Summary Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal‑directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process; delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other members of the health‑care team to achieve desired results. Bachelor’s degree preferred. At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse. Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required Certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or an AHA‑recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required. Physical and Mental Requirements Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, working indoors, working at elevated areas, in confined/cramped spaces, from kneeling positions, bending at the waist, twisting at the waist, squatting. Ability to perform gross motor activities with fingers and hands, firm grasping, fine manipulation, reach overhead, repetitive motions with hands/wrists/elbows and shoulders. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted, lift lower objects 50 lbs. from the floor, lift from 36” to overhead 25 lbs., exert up to 50 lbs. of force for patient transfers. Vision: maintain 20/40 corrected in one or both eyes, recognize objects at hand or distance, discriminate colors, understand depth perception, good peripheral vision. Hearing: maintain hearing acuity with correction. Stress tolerance: work rotating shifts, overtime, latex safe environment, manage stressful situations.
