Join Our Caring CommunityThe Medical Assistant is the first contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative tasks in addition to patient care. The Medical Assistant performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. You will perform computations, and other tasks, and report to the Center Administrator.The Medical Assistant performs clinical tasks such as:Document patient symptoms in EMRTake and record vital signsAdminister injectionsPerform diagnostic testsCollect specimens and draw bloodSterilize equipmentMaintain examination roomsOther tasks as assignedRequired:Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from ProviderPhlebotomy experienceMedication/vaccine administration experienceCPR CertifiedWe consider this role patient facing and runs the Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, we will require you to screen for TB.Preferred:Certified or Registered – (Arizona, Indiana, and South Carolina you require Medical Assistant Certification or Registration)Bilingual in English and SpanishValue-based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.You will report to the Center AdministratorThis role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$43,000 - $56,200 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
