Piping Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Piping Superintendent to lead piping construction activities on a major industrial project. The successful candidate will oversee site installation, fabrication, testing, and commissioning support, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules. You will provide clear direction to supervisors, foremen, subcontractors, and craft personnel while maintaining a strong focus on productivity, workmanship, and continuous improvement.


Key responsibilities include planning daily and weekly piping activities, coordinating work fronts with construction, engineering, mechanical, structural, electrical, and commissioning teams, and monitoring progress against agreed milestones. You will review isometric drawings, layouts, method statements, inspection and test plans, and material requirements; identify potential clashes or constraints; and ensure resources, tools, equipment, and materials are available when required. The role will also involve supervising pipe fabrication and erection, supports, tie-ins, pressure testing, reinstatement, punch-list clearance, and handover documentation. You will promote a proactive safety culture, enforce permit-to-work requirements, participate in toolbox talks and inspections, and ensure compliance with environmental and site procedures. Accurate reporting of progress, manpower, productivity, issues, and corrective actions will be expected.


Applicants should have substantial experience supervising piping construction within oil and gas, petrochemical, power, infrastructure, or other heavy industrial environments. A relevant technical qualification or trade background is preferred, together with strong knowledge of piping installation practices, welding and inspection requirements, pressure testing, construction sequencing, and relevant industry codes and standards. You should be confident reading technical drawings and specifications, managing diverse teams, coordinating subcontractors, and resolving site issues under schedule pressure. Strong communication, leadership, organisation, and problem-solving skills are essential. The ability to work on a rotational or project-based basis, where required, and a demonstrated commitment to safe, quality-driven delivery will be highly valued.
