Director, Marketing Operations

Vertex Pharmaceuticals

Director leading centralized promotional materials operations for Vertex's U.S. product portfolio. Responsible for end-to-end review, approval, production, and distribution processes while managing a team of five coordinators and driving continuous improvement across compliance, efficiency, and stakeholder experience.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end operational model for promotional material review, approval, production, and distribution
Operationalize and enhance review committee SOP, governance, workflows, and standards across organization
Manage intake, routing, prioritization, tracking, and archival of promotional materials through review process
Oversee team of five FTEs and contractors; establish roles, expectations, and development priorities
Partner with Commercial, Legal, Regulatory, Medical, and Compliance stakeholders on alignment and decision-making

Requirements

8-10 years pharmaceutical industry experience with 3+ years supervisory/management leadership
Deep expertise in promotional material review processes and regulated review committee operations
Proven ability to build and scale SOP-driven processes, workflows, and governance models
Experience developing operational metrics, dashboards, and performance reporting systems
Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration in complex matrixed environments
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, management, or related discipline
Demonstrated success leading continuous improvement and change management initiatives

Compensation: $180,000 - $270,000 base
