Job Description

Under the supervision of the nursing department's management, the Registered Nurse (RN) assumes responsibility for the nursing processes of assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation needed to deliver safe, evidence-based care within their scope of practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Implement nursing interventions and evaluate their effectiveness.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide optimal patient care.
• Adhere to evidence-based practices and maintain high standards of care.
• Provide educational support to patients and their families.

Scheduling Details

• 12-hour shifts with a total of 36 hours per week, with overtime available.
• Self-scheduling with flexibility required to accommodate team scheduling needs.
• Every-other weekend availability is required, with options to work either Saturday or Sunday as needed.
• Minimal on-call duties expected.
• Rotational shift differentials for weekends and nights.

Holiday and Floating Requirements

• Every-other holiday commitment required; holidays assigned and rotated annually.
• May be required to float to other units within the scope of practice.

Qualifications

• Valid nursing degree and RN compact or Kansas license.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications can be obtained post-hire.
• This is an entry-level position; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
