Payroll Specialist

Title: Payroll Specialist Type: Contract Located: Bethesda, MD Schedule: Hybrid Compensation: $30-$38/hr Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401k About The Opportunity A growing organization is seeking a Part-Time Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations for a large multi-state employee population. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, communicating with employees, and ensuring payroll is processed accurately and efficiently. The position offers a flexible 30-hour work schedule, with only one in-office day required each week. Key Responsibilities Process full-cycle payroll for approximately 900 employees across multiple states Review, validate, and audit payroll data, timesheets, and related reports Ensure payroll accuracy for both hourly and salaried employees Generate payroll reports and provide data to third-party payroll providers as needed Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 support Provide additional accounting support when needed, including accounts payable assistance Qualifications Required Experience processing full-cycle payroll in Paylocity Multi-state payroll experience Experience supporting payroll in CA, TX, FL, ZTN, FL Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and manage deadlines Additional Details Payroll population: Approximately 900 employees Flexible scheduling within a 30-hour work week Free parking available for in-office days Why choose Addison Finance & Accounting?
