Job Description

Smart Beez Learning Center is a family-owned childcare program dedicated to creating a safe, loving, and engaging environment where children learn through play, exploration, and hands-on experiences. We are seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable Teacher to join our team and support the growth and development of young learners.

Position Overview

The Teacher is responsible for creating a nurturing classroom environment, implementing age-appropriate activities, supporting social-emotional development, and maintaining strong communication with families. This role is ideal for someone who loves children, values teamwork, and is committed to high-quality early childhood education.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and implement daily activities that support cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment

Supervise children at all times and ensure safety procedures are followed

Support children with routines such as meals, diapering/toileting, transitions, and rest time

Build positive, trusting relationships with children and families

Communicate daily updates, incidents, and developmental progress to parents

Collaborate with coworkers to maintain a positive, professional team environment

Follow all licensing regulations and center policies

Model kindness, patience, and respect in all interactions

Qualifications

Experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschool-age children (preferred)

CDA, Associate's, or coursework in Early Childhood Education (preferred but not required)

Ability to lift 30+ lbs, sit on the floor, and actively engage with children

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a safe learning environment

Must pass background checks and meet state childcare requirements
