Forklift /Utility Driver - 3rd Shift

Material Handler

Material Handlers perform a combination of tuggers/forklift, of product handling lift truck-operating duties to stack, transport, and store work-in-process and finished goods. Supplies production lines with efficient flow of materials knockdowns and dividers - and moves finished goods to warehouse.

Starting wage is $17/hour.

Shift differential of $2.00 per hour for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Overtime and bonus opportunities may be offered.

Identifies and transports requested materials to and from various locations including machines, loading docks, trucks, and storage areas.

Obtains production schedule and/or shipping orders and then identifies, verifies, and transports requested raw materials, equipment, or processing materials accordingly.

Applies understanding of machine loading capacity and loading schedule, ensuring prompt and efficient delivery of required items.

Uses protective materials and strapping equipment to protect and secure loads; once delivered, removes strapping and wrapping, then safely disposes of waste materials in designated containers or areas.

Reports any problems with materials or transportation to supervisor.

Manages and piles skids, pallets, and other supplies in specified areas.

Services equipment as needed, reporting mechanical or electrical difficulties to the Supervisor.

Performs other related duties as requested.

Prior forklift experience preferred, not required.

Prior shipping/receiving experience preferred.

Ability to maintain single-task focus and situational awareness.

Must be able to move and lift up to 50-pound wooden skid or pallet.

Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance.

Collaborates well with others: proactively contributes to group objectives; volunteers to help others.

Must be physically able to stand/walk/sit for 8-12 hours per day.
