Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU setting, utilizing advanced clinical skills and evidence-based practices to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patient conditions continuously to identify any changes requiring intervention.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies following established protocols.
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using Epic electronic health record system.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized care plans.
• Maintain certification compliance, including ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS, ensuring all credentials are current.
• Adhere to safety standards and infection control policies to promote a safe patient environment.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
• Possess minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical-Surgical ICU setting.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Epic charting and electronic health records.
• Maintain current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (preferred), PALS (preferred).
• Exhibit strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Be able to work 12-hour day shifts, providing consistent, high-quality patient care.
