Why is this Respiratory Therapist role different This role provides flexible scheduling options (4/10s or 3/12s), strong operational support, and the opportunity to serve a diverse Boston Metro patient population. The team is highly experienced, with leadership bringing over 20 years of home‑care expertise. Key highlights Work Arrangement: On‑site with flexible scheduling (4/10s or 3/12s). Hours: Standard 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM; flexible based on candidate needs. Travel: Boston Metro area; variable traffic; flexible start/end times and ability to leave from home. Salary range $45 – $55 per hour On-Call transparency Rotation every 3rd week with minimal call volume. What You’ll Do Conduct home visits to perform oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment setups and follow‑ups. Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Assess patient needs, document care delivered, and elevate concerns appropriately. Respond to hospital discharge requests and support patient needs. Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and internal branch teams. Maintain accurate documentation using iPad/laptop. Set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment, including, but not limited to, oxygen therapy, nebulization therapy, apnea monitoring, suctioning, PAP, invasive and non‑invasive ventilation. Inspect and test equipment to ensure proper operating condition. Perform clinical assessments and tests such as pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry and gathering vital signs. Perform other duties as required. What We Look For Respiratory Therapist with an active MA RT license. Ability to stand, lift, push and/or pull objects ranging from 10 – 50 lbs. Valid driver's license. Comfortable using mobile technology, navigation tools, and digital documentation. Education Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program. Certificates, licenses, registrations or professional designations Hold a current RCP license in the state of practice (or states that the location covers) if that state requires an RCP license to allow the practice of respiratory therapy.
