Harlem Children's Zone (HCZ) a world-renowned education and poverty-fighting organization based in New York seeks an enthusiastic, dedicated, and mission-aligned Server for the Food Services Department.

The ideal Server will bring a passion for the mission of Harlem Children's Zone: break the cycle of intergenerational poverty with comprehensive, on-the-ground programming that builds up opportunities for children and families to thrive in school, work, and life.

The Server will join our Food Services team that works to transform how the community engages with foodby improving our nutrition environment and thinking more sustainably about what we eat through hands-on nutrition education in the garden and the kitchen, in the classroom, and in the boardroom. Transforming what we eat is crucial to HCZ's larger missionsin the classroom, future, and beyond. The better we eat, the better we learn, and the better we live. We are looking for a dedicated, energetic, reliable, and organized server who enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced culinary environment. Servers provide dining services in the HCZ community's dining room while exceeding hospitality and service standards. As a server, you will be an ambassador of the HCZ Kitchen's core values. You will be responsible for interacting with our guests and ensuring our serving area processes run smoothly. You will report to the Lead Server, Sous Chef, Executive Sous Chef, and Executive Chef, but will be empowered to make your own decisions, with management approval, that create the best overall experience for our guests.
