Job Title: ER Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: State or Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: - Travel experience - Charting experience with Epic - Charge experience preferred - Experience in community hospitals and trauma centers preferred Description: The role requires an ER Registered Nurse to work in a Level I Trauma Emergency Room. Candidates should be experienced in a fast-paced environment, dealing with various patient conditions. Knowledge and skills in managing arterial lines, BiPAP/CPAP, and blood product administration are essential. You should also be proficient in managing ventilated patients, central line care, and administering continuous IV sedation. Experience with critical care situations, such as CVA, gunshot wounds, and head injuries, is preferred. The unit treats a diverse patient demographic, including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. The daily census averages approximately 105 patient visits. The department is supported by respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and pharmacy. Candidates must be able to handle life-threatening emergencies effectively and efficiently. Ability to provide care in a multidisciplinary team environment is highly sought after. Familiarity with trauma protocols and emergency response is critical for success in this role.
