Job Title: ER Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (11:00 - 23:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years preferred License: State or Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: Travel experience preferred Previous charge experience preferred Experience with patient ratios of 4:1 Description: The Emergency Room Registered Nurse will care for patients with urgent and emergent conditions. The nurse will work in a Level I Trauma center. Responsibilities include managing arterial lines, administering blood products, and caring for ventilated patients. Candidates should have experience with trauma, orthopedics, and various emergency situations. Charting will be done using an electronic medical record system. The registered nurse will work alongside an interdisciplinary team that includes respiratory services and social services. Patient age groups will range from neonates to geriatrics. The daily census is expected to be around 105 visits, with a total of 36 rooms available. Weekend coverage will be required as per the contract agreement.
