Great Lakes Veterinary Specialists is seeking a talented, experienced Lead General Practice Registered Veterinary Technician, RVT to join our growing hybrid hospital teamfull time. New team members are trained through a mentorship program before working independently. Applicants must have a positive attitude and an excellent work ethic with 3-4 years emergency experience preferred. Must be self-motivated and able to think on your feet. The skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to: Lead Registered Veterinary Technician Duties Include Lead, mentor, and support veterinary assistants, technicians, and client service representatives. Assist with onboarding and training of new team members. Monitor staff performance and provide coaching, guidance, and constructive feedback. Promote teamwork, professionalism, and a positive workplace culture. Serve as a resource for staff questions and problem-solving during daily operations. Assist management with scheduling, staffing needs, and workflow optimization. Coordinate daily hospital workflow to maximize efficiency and patient care. Monitor appointment flow and assist in resolving operational challenges. Ensure exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment are properly stocked and maintained. Assist with inventory management, ordering, and supply control. Ensure hospital cleanliness and compliance with sanitation protocols Potential Schedule: Full-time, variable, weekend rotation required.
