Job Title Postdoctoral Research Associate Agency Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Service Department 4‑H Youth Development Location Dallas, Texas Job Type Staff Job Description The Postdoctoral Research Associate coordinates and conducts research activities for the Texas MyPlate Food Ambassadors Changing Environments and Systems (TX MyPlate FACES) grant. The role involves training high‑school‑aged students on MyPlate nutrition curricula, facilitating student‑led educational activities for younger peers, and collaborating with community partners to deliver regional training courses that support local wellness policies and cultural food tastings. Primary Responsibilities Support all facets of research projects, including IRB submissions, participant recruitment and enrollment, data collection, data synthesis, and preparation of research reports. Develop online assessment tools using Qualtrics and/or REDCap to collect qualitative and quantitative data. Assist in drafting and publishing research articles. Contribute to the development of state and national grant proposals. Additional Responsibilities Collaborate closely with Program Managers to coordinate community‑engaged research studies. Provide professional development and support for Extension professionals, school staff, and volunteers. Ensure successful implementation of research projects through community partnership coordination. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Education and Experience Ph.D. in a related field (public health, nutrition, clinical research, or comparable disciplines). ABD candidates or those with pending diplomas may be considered upon meeting all requirements. Preferred Education and Experience Experience conducting human subjects research. Experience with community‑engaged research and evaluation projects, including data collection and behavioral implementation of intervention studies. Proficiency with Qualtrics, REDCap, and other online survey tools. Experience supporting and delivering interventions related to population health, food systems, community‑based health behavior, and technology integration in outreach. Experience working with diverse populations and community stakeholders. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to work independently and manage priorities efficiently. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong collaborative spirit and commitment to a supportive team environment. Highly organized, detail oriented, and professional demeanor. Capacity to multitask and work cooperatively with a range of stakeholders. Other Requirements Occasional travel; ability to lift moderately heavy objects and exert heavy force. Availability for work beyond normal business hours, including weekends. All positions are security‑sensitive; applicants will undergo a criminal history investigation.
