Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or otherwise qualifying Respiratory Care educational program
• Minimum Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree in Respiratory Care
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• Current, active Respiratory Therapist license in the State of West Virginia
• Strong understanding of respiratory care principles, cardiopulmonary assessment, and therapeutic interventions
• Ability to evaluate patient respiratory conditions and administer appropriate treatments
• Effective communication, clinical documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient safety and respiratory care

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience providing respiratory therapy services in an acute-care or hospital environment
• Experience working with patients requiring oxygen therapy, airway management, or mechanical ventilation
• Familiarity with respiratory diagnostic procedures and cardiopulmonary monitoring
• Experience supporting patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions
• Strong critical-thinking skills and the ability to respond effectively to changes in patient conditions
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a Registered Respiratory Therapist with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Respiratory Care, current NBRC registration, and an active West Virginia respiratory therapy license.

They should demonstrate sound clinical judgment, strong respiratory assessment skills, and a genuine commitment to helping patients manage complex breathing and cardiopulmonary conditions.

Compensation

$60,000 – $81,000 annually

Compensation within the listed range will be determined based on the candidate's respiratory therapy experience, additional clinical expertise, acute-care background, specialized credentials, professional qualifications, and overall alignment with the position.
