Pharmacy professionals are needed to provide per diem pharmacist coverage at a community health center pharmacy located in Livingston, LA, just east of Baton Rouge. This opportunity offers flexible scheduling with weekday hours from 8 AM to 5 PM on select dates between November 20 and December 31. The pharmacy continually requests coverage, so there is potential to join a team of 1-2 pharmacists for ongoing staffing needs.

Ideal candidates are part-time retail pharmacists who are comfortable supporting a community-focused site. Familiarity with Rx30 is preferred but not required. The pharmacy operation benefits from strong technician support and an efficient workflow, ensuring you can focus on delivering excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense and verify prescriptions in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Counsel patients on medication use and potential side effects
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy
• Maintain proper documentation and records
• Support pharmacy technicians and contribute to a smooth patient flow

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Current pharmacist license in Louisiana
• Retail pharmacy experience, part-time preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to new software and pharmacy workflows; experience with Rx30 is a plus
• Reliable and professional work ethic
