Director of Maintenance

Compensation: 135000.-145000. / Annually Our client, a nationwide provider of high-quality food products has an immediate opening for an experienced Director of Maintenance, to join their winning team in Collingswood.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

Lead and manage the maintenance team, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance. Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance management program that includes preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies. Plans, drives, and oversees maintenance system programs to meet plant requirements. Creates and recommends purchasing plans to implement plant policies and objectives and to attain optimum utilization of machinery and materials; with overall cost reduction. Manages a team of mechanics and is responsible for the maintenance of the entire plant and all equipment. Oversees and manages the system to schedule and plan preventative maintenance jobs, using KAIZEN and One Point Lesson (OPL) on a regular basis to improve plant efficiency. Handles and reviews negotiation from contractors such as, quotes and cost estimates. All while monitoring expenditures, reconciling purchases, and maintaining accurate vendor files. Enhance our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and other maintenance systems. Contribute to sustainable initiatives such as site inspections and energy surveys while remaining abreast of current legislation to ensure corporate compliance. Perform other duties as assigned.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

Proven experience in a maintenance management role or similar position within an industrial or commercial setting. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC systems, logic controllers, and electrical troubleshooting. Ability to read and interpret schematics effectively. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team. Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges. Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail. 7 to 10 years of maintenance experience in food processing facility is required. Ability to perform and comprehend verbal and written communication in English; Bilingual, English and Spanish preferred. Experience in budgeting, planning, estimations and building rapport with all team members. Effective leadership abilities and strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
