Software Development Engineer II

Labcorp seeks a Software Development Engineer II to lead software projects from design through deployment in a research and development capacity. The role involves code review, cross-functional collaboration, and contributing to architecture decisions within a hybrid work environment near Durham or Burlington, North Carolina.

Responsibilities

Lead software development projects from conception through deployment and ongoing support
Conduct code reviews to maintain quality standards and best practices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions
Proactively identify and resolve technical challenges and troubleshoot complex issues
Write flexible, reusable, and efficient code while contributing to technology roadmap

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
3+ years of software development experience
Expertise in Python or similar object-oriented programming language
Strong software design principles and system architecture knowledge
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure preferred)

Compensation: $110,000–$150,000 annually
