Common diagnoses include:Total hip and knee replacementsGeneral surgeriesda Vinci robotic proceduresNeurosurgeryUrology proceduresWork EnvironmentThis is not a trauma facility. The PACU may temporarily accommodate ICU patients until beds become available in the unit. Required experience includes acute recovery.Shift DetailsShifts will vary and may include 12-hour days during the week. Start times range from 0500 to 0930. Call shifts are included, with approximate requirements being 5 weekend call shifts and 8 weeknight shifts per quarter. Weeknight call may be from 2200-0500 or 2200-0700, and weekend call may be from 0700-1900 or 1900-0700.OrientationNew hires can expect a floor-specific orientation lasting 1-2 days in the PACU with a preceptor.Required CertificationsBLS (AHA)ACLS (AHA)NIHSSPALS (AHA)Additional InformationAn IV Team and Respiratory Therapy are available if necessary, with pharmacy services operational 24/7. Please note that completion of a DYS exam is a prerequisite prior to signing.Cancellation PolicyThe facility reserves the right to cancel up to 4 shifts within a 13-week assignment period or 3 shifts for assignments shorter than 13 weeks.
