Operations Manager - Machining

Operations ManagerDue to multiple retirements, elite manufacturer is seeking an Operations Manager to attain immediate management and continuous improvement responsibilities of a key area of their low volume manufacturing plant. Working with cutting edge technology on a daily basis, the Operations Manager will oversee direct and indirect reports while reporting to the CEO of this privately held company. Daily you will be responsible for the following tasks:Leading the machining and assembly production areas of new equipment productionOverseeing machining, fabrication, assembly, programming, manufacturing engineering and facilitiesTaking ownership of safety, quality, KPIs, employee development, productivity and continuous improvement of an established areaManaging and reviewing the cost for the business unit, including budgetsParticipating within the leadership team to meet company objectivesDeveloping and attaining goals, objectives and targeted measurables of the overseen manufacturing areaHolding others accountable to established goals and directivesProposing and monitoring capital and facility improvementsIdentifying process improvements to decrease scrap, increase efficiencies and find cost savingsCoaching, mentoring, developing and leading direct and indirect reportsAdjusting manning as needed, based on production schedules and goalsCompleting root cause analysis and developing countermeasures for improvementsOther duties as directed by the CEOCandidates should enjoy working daily in an office that is located on the production floor.
