Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse at a teaching hospital located in a major urban area. This position involves providing specialized nursing care for premature infants and unstable newborns requiring intensive medical attention. The role offers an opportunity to work in a Level I Trauma facility with a diverse patient population and advanced neonatal support technology.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); minimum of 1.5 years of neonatal nursing experience; valid license to practice in the state of the facility; no experience requirement for first-time travelers is accepted.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with SERVO and High-Frequency Oscillatory Ventilators (HFOV), chest tubes, traches, inhaled nitric oxide (iNO), umbilical and arterial lines, and enteral feeding devices.
• Additional Information: Orientation includes one shift on the unit to coordinate with another RN. Candidates will rotate through a weekend every third week. No on-call requirements; holiday time off approval needed through the manager. Scrubs are provided for infection prevention, and free parking is available.
• Travel Flexibility: May float to pediatric inpatient units or NICUs within the system, with floating to other units being optional based on candidate preferences and operational needs.
